Exam refunds
To support customers affected by ongoing COVID restrictions, for Practical and Performance Grade exams from 1st January to 31st May 2021 any absent candidate will automatically receive a refund. This includes Performance Grades where the candidate has been unable to record and upload their video. You do not need to contact us to request a refund. However, it will help us if you can log in to your account and cancel the exam. Find out more: https://www.abrsm.org/en/latestupdates
For Online Music Theory exams and any paper based exams taking place outside of the UK/Ireland we anticipate COVID restrictions will not prevent candidates from sitting their exam so absentee candidate will not automatically receive a refund and our normal Withdrawal, non-attendance and fee refunds policy still applies.

Performance Grade booking
We will be offering Performance Grade exams every month for the remainder of 2021. Exact dates will be announced soon. Please check here for more information.
Before you book exams, you will need to create an ABRSM account.
You will need to create a new account even if you have an existing ABRSM applicant number. If you have an applicant number, please enter it when requested in the Contact ID/Applicant Number box.
If you do not have an applicant number or have forgotten it you can leave this box blank. If you have entered it incorrectly a message will appear saying that a match cannot be found. In this case, leave this box blank and allow the system to create a new account for you.
Username and password - create a memorable username and password. Your username cannot be your email address or include the @ symbol. It must also be unique. You will be prompted to try again if someone else has already taken a username.
Email verification - You will need to do this once you have entered you email address in order to complete your registration. Click 'Send Verification Code' and you will receive a code via email. The email will be from ‘Microsoft on behalf of abrsmglobalb2c'. Enter the code in the ‘Verification Code’ box and click ‘Verify code’. Once your email address has been verified successfully you can complete the rest of the form.
Date of birth - We use your date of birth, along with other personal information you supply, to create a unique and secure record for you.
Contact ID/Applicant Number: for applicants - If you know your applicant number, enter it here. Otherwise leave this blank. Once you’ve created your account we will give you a Contact ID which allows us to identify you in our system.
Contact ID: for candidates - Candidates will be given a Contact ID once they’ve been entered for an exam. Contact IDs appear on all communications about exam bookings and results.
Candidates can create an account, even if they have not made the booking themselves. Parents/carers can create this account on behalf of a child, but the account must be in the child's name.
Candidate accounts are optional, but having an account means that a candidate can log in to view information about their exams, change appointments, and view their results and mark forms seven days after we have released them to the applicant.
Candidate accounts must be created in the candidate’s name, and their ABRSM Contact ID and date of birth must be entered where requested. This is to make sure we can create a unique record for the candidate, which links their existing and future exam bookings.
